I work as the secretary in the Law Library of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and I take classes at the University. I live in Silver Spring, Maryland with my son Michael who will be graduating from High School in June 2000.

I have a great love of books. Nowadays, poetry has my attention as well as the writings of Thomas Merton. I am surrounded at home and at work. In the car, I listen to books on tape. I enjoy old movies and have a small collection - Casablanca, Lost Horizon, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Lawrence of Arabia, A Streetcar Named Desire. etc.

I enjoy music of all types including artists such as Jussi Bjoërling, Caruso, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and who can get by without Ella, Louis, and Willie. Not to mention my favorite French-Canadian chansonniers, Félix Leclerc and Gilles Vigneault, poets extraordinaires. I occasionally tickle the ivories to play some old hymns and old tunes that my Mother's family used to sing.

Recently I have felt a great need to record some family history. The creation of a personal home page - class assignment in Web Page Design - is the motivation I needed to get going.

I am French-Canadian/Mohawk Native, raised in a small French-Canadian town, Beauharnois, 25 miles south and west of Montréal in the Province of Québec in Canada. I am fortunate to have such a rich cultural background. I moved to the U.S. when I married 19 years ago.
