Pete Durbin drove me and his two boys up from London to Cambridge, to visit the air museum at Duxford. Duxford was one of the many bases used by American planes during WW II, and this new hanger was recently opened. It houses the large collection of American planes, including a Corsair, P-51, P-47, U-2, SR-71, B-24, F-100, and many others. There is also a memorial outside to the 30,000 American flyers and 6,000 planes lost flying from Britain. NEXT LIST
