Computers do not think; they copy our thoughts.
They do not feel; they copy our emotions
—máquinas & almas
Digital Images are composed of tiny picture elements called pixels. The image can be stored in a computer, retouched, altered or combined with other images. The artist scans images into the computer or draws with a mouse or handheld stylus directly on a pressure sensitive tablet; she also uses a digital camera to record images directly into the computer. She then designs her new image. The image is printed on 100% rag paper with archival inks
using an ink jet printer.
A Screen Print or Serigraph is a stencil process using a fine mesh fabric stretched on a frame. Non-image areas are painted out on the screen using a variety of materials or blocked out by specially prepared stencils attached to the screen. Paint or ink is forced through the openings in the fabric by use of a rubber squeegee. A separate screen is prepared for each color, allowing the artist to use many colors. These images are also printed on $100 rag
or PH neutral paper.
